CHS girls track team gathered for a team picture because it was the last meet for the season.

The CHS girls track team had their last dual track meet against South Plainfield on Tuesday May 13, 2014. The CHS girls were in the lead but in the end lost.

In the beginning of the meet the Colonia girls were way ahead of the South Plainfield girls. They lost in the end because Colonia does not have any girls doing the high jump, triple jump, discuss, shot put, and javelin throw so Colonia received zero points for it and the other team received nine points for each event. That’s how South Plainfield ended up winning.

In the 400 meter hurdles, from Colonia Amma Mehsah placed 1st place with the time 1:12:04. In that event the South Plainfield girls placed second and third place. Amma Mehsah also placed 2nd in the 100 meter hurdles with the time of 19.6.

In the 100 meter dash Colonia placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Melanie Shane placed 1st with the time of 13.6 seconds; Tyler Bartlett place 2nd with the same time, but Melanie got to the finish line before Tyler. Angelina McGhee placed 3rd with the time of 29.3 seconds.
