Boys Tennis Senior Night was one for the books

Senior Night is a chance for the boys to play one last time with all they got. The boys all were very proud of how they played their games.

The second doubles match was between Colonia’s Harish Kanagal and Samarth Parakeh against Bishop Ahr’s James Zheng and Brandon Cangialosi. Both sets were won, 6-0 and 6-1. Overall, all the boys won their matches.

Senior Night

Senior night is always such an emotion time for the seniors. These are the games where they play and are congratulated of their amazing last four years of games and practices. The seniors this year were Kanagal and Shreel Shah, both have been playing for all four years on the tennis team. They have had many different experiences, and their senior night was one for the books. When asked about their senior nights and how it felt to play they both responded positively. Kanagal said, “It felt surreal that I was playing my last ever game for Colonia. It almost felt as if four years of playing came down to that last game.”

Many memories were made with the coach, Mr. Brian Finnegan for these seniors and they said they will miss a lot about their time with the team. Shreel Shah said, “I’ll miss being around a great group of guys who are very talented and made my last year playing varsity quite memorable especially with the amazing number of wins we had this season. I’ll also miss being coached by Coach Finnegan who was a great mentor on and off the court. While playing games this season, I knew I wanted to make my last season at CHS great so it was amazing to see how the team came together to be one of the best teams in the division and improved over the last year.”
