There are seven books in the Harry Potter series. Each one of these books was also made into a movie. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is the first book of the series.
Summary
In the first book, Harry finds out that he’s a wizard on his eleventh birthday. He is also an orphan of two very powerful wizards. After his eleventh birthday he attends Hogwarts, a boarding school for young wizards. While he is there he meets many different people. Some of those people become close friends while other become enemies. While Harry is at Hogwarts he continues to find out more and more about his mother and father’s death.
At Hogwarts there a four different groups or houses that you can be placed in, Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff. These are named after their founders, Godric Gryffindor, Salazar Slytherin, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Helga Hufflepuff.
Book Review
This book was released on June 26 in 1997. I recommend this series of books and movies to people of all ages. It is a very good series and there is always something interesting happening. Although there may be some acts of violence, it is a very good story that all people could enjoy. You will always be at the edge of your sit wondering what happens next.
Movie
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone movie was released on November 14 in 2001. Since then there have been seven more Harry Potter movies made. Each book and movie are equally as good. Recently, they have been making Fantastic Beasts which is based off of the Harry Potter books and movies.
