Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the filming of Red Notice was halted in March of 2020. As of December 1, 2021, Red Notice is Netflix most watched movie according to Chloe Melas of CNN.

Red Notice is a criminal chase movie just released on November 5, 2021, directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber. It’s a Netflix movie with a budget of $200 million, and has received a box office worth an estimated $2 million as of now. As a brand new movie out of the box, it’s filled with popular stars and artists you may just know! Most importantly though, I’m here to let you about the movie and plot itself, and is it really worth watching?

Plot

Red Notice is an action and comedy based film focusing on the world of crime. As Agent John Hartley chases down some of the most notorious thieves out there such as: “ The World’s greatest art thief” or “World’s greatest con-man,” unbelievable adventures, unexpected friendships, crazy betrayals, and a great deal of plot twists take place in this action packed movie. I would definitely recommend it for the criminal adventure enthusiasts!

Cast/Character:

Firstly, lets start off with the 3 main characters and most famous actors in this movie. We have Dwayne Johnson, as Agent John Harley, Gal Gadot, as the “World’s greatest art thief,” and Ryan Reynolds as the “World’s greatest con-man.” I have to say, their acting in the movie was great, however, it’s the character’s they played that were the most irritating. I did have a favorite though, being Ryan Reynolds’ character. He was clever, swift, but also hilariously funny! The worst character in my opinion here was Gal Gadot’s. I’m telling you, this lady pops up everywhere, even in the most unreasonable and illogical of situations, it just really ruins the moment sometimes. As for Dwayne’s character, I’d stick him in the middle of Gal and Ryan, he’s a great partner in crime, but a huge back stabber as well.

Story:

This movie displays a great deal of adventure, fun, and gets your adrenaline pumping! In other words, if you’re looking for action and plot-twists, this is definitely a movie to put on your watchlist. In addition, it doesn’t take rocket science thinking to understand the story line either. It’s a movie to sit back to and enjoy, maybe you’ll even end up on the edge of your seat! Unlike some movies that only focus on the harsh truths of reality, or some that just seem a bit too “happy-go-lucky,” Red Notice contains a balance of both serious and comedic scenes. It’s something to get that adrenaline rush going!

Conclusion:

To sum it up, I’d say this movie is worth checking out if you’re looking to get in some good laughs and a kick start for action. It’s entertaining, stupid, and Ryan Reynolds’ character in this movie was hilarious like always, just like in the movie, Free Guy. The movie is PG-13, making it available to probably most people reading this article! As one of Netflix’s most expensive movies, I feel that there’s always some room for improvement, but above all, it’s a pretty decent film! (Plus, Ed-Sheeran was in this movie for a tiny bit, and it was ridiculously funny).

Rating:

I give this movie a 4/5 stars!
